SASSARI 7 LUGLIO 2013 – E’ stata una Muay thai esplosiva che ha fatto vedere uno spettacolo in crescendo, incontro dopo incontro, quella che per una notte ha appassionato Sassari e il pubblico che ha assiepato all’inverosimile il Pala Simula (palestra bunker) di via Poligono. Ieri (sabato 6 luglio) i titoli in palio, italiano Pro, europeo e il Trofeo Tarantini, sono rimasti in Sardegna grazie alla determinazione dei tre atleti isolani Sara Donghi, Mauro Serra e Andrea Serra.
Sul ring allestito nella palestra di via Poligono gli atleti si sono dati battaglia senza esclusioni di colpi. E lo spettacolo è cominciato sin dal primo degli otto match di supporto, sei di Muay thai e due di Mma con le regole del Valetudo. Gli atleti sardi hanno da subito sfoderato la loro tecnica mostrando grandi doti con i colpi alla figura, i calci medi e alti, le gomitate e le ginocchiate.
Ad aprire la serata, arricchita dalla coreografia delle danze sacre tailandesi, sono stati gli incontri di supporto. I primi a salire sul ring sono stati i due atleti non ancora professionisti Stefano Soro della Chang Peuk Muay Thai, allenato dal campione europeo Luca Carta e Sergio Piras del Team Neri. I due pugili non si erano mai affrontati prima e tra loro sono state subito scintille. Piras che ha dominato l’incontro, vincendo ai punti, ha mostrato subito la sua supremazia, e con un “tae lam”, un calcio circolare al fegato ha piegato le ginocchia dell’avversario e lo ha costretto al conteggio da parte dell’arbitro.
