Muay thai, gli atleti sardi a Bangkok per la King’s Cup

I combattimenti il 5 dicembre, sul ring: Sara Donghi, Mauro Serra e Andrea Serra.

SASSARI 27 NOVEMBRE 2013 – Gli atleti sardi della nazionale italiana di Muay thai volano a Bangkok per la “King’s Cup”, in programma per il 5 dicembre. A combattere sul ring della capitale thailandese ci saranno il due volte campione europeo Mauro Serra, il campione italiano Andrea Serra e la pluri campionessa italiana e campionessa del mondo Sara Donghi. Ad accompagnare gli atleti isolani in questo importantissimo appuntamento sarà il commissario tecnico della nazionale, Angelo Tarantini.

La campionessa sassarese e il ct azzurro Tarantini questa mattina hanno lasciato l’isola per Bangkok, mentre i due fratelli Serra raggiungeranno i compagni venerdì.

Sara Donghi, vincitrice nell’edizione 2010 e 2012, nel main event della manifestazione combatterà per il titolo mondiale S-1.

A completare la nazionale italiana anche l’altro ct e decano della Muay thai italiana Egidio Pesare e gli atleti pugliesi Andrea Valeriano (già vincitore nell’edizione 2012) e  Jacopo Tarantino.

Il “Compleanno del Re” in Thailandia è il più grosso evento al mondo di Muay thai e si svolge appunto il 5 dicembre di fronte al Palazzo Reale di Bangkok, davanti a un pubblico numerosissimo. L’evento, inoltre, sarà trasmesso in mondovisione in diretta tv su Fox Sport, True Vision e altri canali asiatici.

Un evento dedicato completamente alla Muay thai che, da oltre vent’anni, vede combattenti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo, per rendere omaggio al re thailandese.

La nazionale italiana salirà sul ring di Bangkok con il lutto al braccio, per ricordare le vittime della recente tragedia che ha colpito la Sardegna.

Muay Thai, the Sardinian fighters in Bangkok for the King’s Cup

SASSARI November 27, 2013 – The sardinians fighters of the Italian national Muay Thai flying to Bangkok for the “King’s Cup”, listed for December 5. In the ring of the Thai capital, there will be two-time european champion Mauro Serra, the italian champion Andrea Serra and the multi champion and world champion Sara Donghi. To accompany the athletes in this important event will be the head coach of the national team, Angelo Tarantini .

Sara Donghi and the head coach Tarantini this morning have left the island to Bangkok, while the two brothers Serra reach their comrades Friday.

Sara Donghi , winner of the 2010 and 2012, in the main event of the show fight for the world title S-1 . In Thailand, there will also be another coach of the Italian national Muay Thai Egidio Pesare and athletes Andrea Valeriano (winner in the 2012 edition) and Jacopo Tarantino.

The “Birthday of the King” in Thailand is the biggest event in the world of Muay Thai and takes place December 5th just in front of the Royal Palace in Bangkok, in front of a large audience. The event will also be broadcast worldwide live on television on Fox Sports, True Vision and other asian channels .

An event completely dedicated to Muay Thai for over twenty years involving fighters from all over the world to pay homage to the Thai king.

The italian team will climb into the ring in Bangkok with black armbands, to remember the victims of the recent tragedy that struck Sardinia.
